Programme Management

Programme Management is the successful delivery of a number of projects, usually towards a specific goal and over a number of years. The skills of a Programme Manager are more strategic than that of a Project Manager and often reports to a senior member of the organisation.

A programme may involve, for example, a move to new offices, an implementation of a new major IT infrastructure, or the development of a new suite of products. A programme is usually developed from a business objective, from which a portfolio of projects is developed and managed. It also defines the governance of the projects that form the programme, as well as managing the financial risk and benefits realisation beyond the confines of each project. The programme also usually has to have high-level stakeholder management, sometimes outside the organisation, and can lead the Change Management aspects of the transformation.

WR Consulting can help your organisation identify, define and manage programmes, and help staff to become familiar with how they may be involved in the successful delivery of the programme.
